About
UNHCR is the sole UN Agency with the mandate to protect refugees. UNHCR has the responsibility to ensure preparedness and pandemic mitigation and to create appropriate conditions for the continuity of basic delivery assistance in case of pandemic. Outputs and Key Activities of the Project are: 1) Operational response Plans regularly reviewed in the camps for the continuity of basic assistance delivery (food, health, water and sanitation) under pandemic conditions. 2) Health staff taking care of refugees have access to vaccination as soon as made accessible for health staff working in the host country. 3) Common food contingency plan with WFP. 4) Early warning system functional within the Health Information System.
