About
AWP outlines support to national development priorities through supporting Ministry of Health to implement the National RH Strategy, 2001-2010. One of the MOH's priorities is to address limitations of the health system in providing comprehensive information and SRH services to all people to ensure universal access to SRH services. Currently, special groups such as ethnic minorities. male, young and unmarried people, people living with HIV/AIDS, sex workers have limited access to these services. Through IU's activities under 2010 AWP, the support will contribute to improve capacity of the health system to provide comprehensive SRH information and services to Vietnamese people through capacity building and equipment, better and comprehensive M&E activities, and collaboration. Current gaps in achieving the MDGs 4, 5, and 6 are the limited accessibility to SRH information and services of the poor people, disadvantage and special groups (ethnic minorities, PLWA, sex workers, etc ... ) due to many factors such as poverty, geographical difficulties, lack of culturally sensitive approach in formulating the SRH-related intervention programmes. The support from this IU under the 2010 AWP will enhance the capacity of the SRH system to ensure universal access to the services of all Vietnamese people, especially ethnic minorities Recent Documents
