OverviewEmerging needs and resilience in Iran

The Emerging Needs Joint Programme in Iran boosts sustainable economic and social development in the areas of public health (children and youth focused), disaster risk reduction, and community resilience. Initiatives strengthen cancer treatment/medical resource supply chains for children, mainstream women’s empowerment and the needs of vulnerable populations in disaster preparedness responses, and enact comprehensive drug prevention and treatment services for youth.

The programme supports network building for information sharing, enhancing government and community capacities, and accelerating 2030 Agenda progress multiple Sustainable Development Goals.
