Project Description:

Integration of rural communities in the national economy through empowerment of local leaders among traditional leaders, women, young men and young women. Empowerment is expressed through knowledge of global issues applied to community based actions.


Development Goal and Key Outcomes:

Developmental Goal:  Reduce rural poverty, food insecurity and isolation.

Outcome 1:  Implementation of community identified actions programme for rural development.

Outcome 2:  Improved sense of self-determination, dignity and positive future.



-          Research seminars staged in the main towns (18.1.4)

-          Paramount chief’s and local council leaders engaged in policy debates in a structured manner (18.1.5)
