About
The AWP addressed both policy and programme issues, giving adequate consideration to Viet Nam's emerging MIC status, namely, Viet Nam's social and economic factors outside of the health sector that influence health outcomes in the country. It addresses the issues of social and economic equity that impact on the health status of different socio - economic groups. Document source: Hard copies of WHO PB 2010-2011 completed template. These are in line with the government policies on health system development, and the development of the SEDP 2011-2016 which aim at achieving health equity for all people of Vietnam regardless of their socio-economic, age, gender and other backgrounds. The support from WHO for achieving national development priorities are clearly outlined in the WHO Commission on Social Determinants of Health (SDH) Report based on which the AWP will be implemented. The AWP will support carrying out of a number of SDH studies, maintaining the network of SDH in Vietnam, capacity building and dissemination of study results. It also supports pilot projects that will bring health equity to the disadvantage groups. Recent Documents
