About
This cross-border project aims to address food and economic insecurity at the local level in cross border-communities in DRC and Rwanda, as a driver and root cause of conflict and instability in the area. The project aims to strengthen peacebuilding and social cohesion by deepening economic integration through increased cross-border trade, fostering mutual understanding and dialogue between border communities and strengthening food security, livelihood and income opportunities, particularly for women and youth. This project directly corresponds to pillar 2 of the UN Great Lakes Regional Strategic Framework and is innovative in advancing peacebuilding work through regional economic inte ration and cross-border community engagement.
