Erbil, Iraq - The Kurdistan Region Government (KRG) and the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) have signed an agreement to launch the “Kurdistan Vision 2020 Joint Programming Facility” aimed at supporting the Kurdistan Vision 2020 Development Strategy. The Facility is unique, because it is not only the first sub-national trust fund to be established, but it is also the first co-financing trust fund to be established with over $18 million in joint KRG-UN commitments, of which over $13.6 million is financed by the KRG.
