The UN Multi-Partner Trust Fund Office, the UN center of expertise in pooled funding, is pleased to announce Aisha Sabar as its new Deputy Executive Coordinator.

New York, 3 February 2025.

Aisha brings nearly 20 years of experience in the international development and humanitarian sectors across the United Nations, the United States Government, and international NGOs. She joins the MPTFO with extensive experience in resource mobilization, partnership development, and delivering impact in complex global contexts.

Most recently, Aisha served as Senior Advisor and Team Lead at UNICEF, where she led the organization’s largest public sector partnerships and secured humanitarian and development resources that delivered results for children globally. Prior to UNICEF, Aisha spent a decade at the United States Department of State, holding senior roles in humanitarian affairs and foreign policy, including at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations, where she advanced a wide range of global policy initiatives and multilateral resolutions, and the Bureau of South and Central Asia, where she coordinated multi-billion-dollar foreign aid budgets.

Earlier in her career, Aisha managed multisector programs in Pakistan with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and implemented refugee resettlement and early childhood education programs with international NGOs.

Aisha holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Arabic and International Relations from Washington University in St. Louis.
