IMC-UK is an NGO providing basic health care services through the support to MoH's facilities in Quandja Commune under a CHF fund. Early this month (8thApril 2011), armed conflict escalated between two rebel groups based in Sikikede (CPJP) and Tiringoulou (UFDR) which led to a mass casualty with over 3 people wounded, and displacement of an estimated 6457 people from Mele, Vakaga-mouraye and Gordil village currently located in Ndiffa Village.

With the contribution of WHO and ICRC, who provided health kits, and MoH who appointed two medical doctors, IMC-UK is providing emergency health care through Tiringoulou health centre. Since April 12th, the head nurse announced the arrival of IDPs from the burned village of MELE (78Km). First groups are settled in Ndiffa (35Km) and they are moving to Tiringoulou town. About 6400 people are registered in Ndiffa and more than 500 people in Tiringoulou.
