UNDP Somalia, Civilian Police Project - Puntland

The primary objective of the UNDP Somalia - Civilian Police Project (CPP) is to assist Somali authorities to develop a police service that is a professional and accountable institution which complies with international human rights standards in all its activities. UNDP Somalia also seeks to ensure that the service works with communities in responding to their needs to reduce crime and improve public safety. As part of this on-going development process, the CPP has been assisting the Puntland Police in building their operational capacity to provide community-based policing services to improve community safety across the state.
