The project will be implemented in Katyla and Edd Elfursan localities. The project will aim to re-create a peaceful co-existence among the different tribes of Katyla and Edd Elfursan localities that will foster re-settlement and recovery.  This will be achieved through:

  • Establishing functional and effective community-level peace building and conflict resolution in 8 communities in Katyla and Edd Elfursan (DCPSF output 1);
  • Increasing inter-community shared livelihood productive and income generating opportunities as connectors of peace (DCPSF output 2);
  • Enhancing joint management of natural resources such as water resources and basic social services such as schools to enhance cooperation between communities in Katyla and Edd Elfursan (DCPSF output 3); and
  • Creating linkages between grassroots and higher-level peace building initiatives (DCPSF output 4)
