As this year concludes, we celebrate the significant strides made by Troop- and Police-Contributing Countries (T/PCCs) in advancing gender equality and creating opportunities for uniformed women in peacekeeping including in leadership roles. From advancing gender policies to building infrastructure and driving global advocacy, the EIF supported initiatives in over 14 countries.

Here are some of the highlights:

✔️ Led a national recruitment campaign that sensitised 60K+ youth, including 70% girls
✔️ Established a 100-bed facility for women recruits

📋 MOWIP Assessments:
The EIF supported two security institutions with barrier assessments to identify challenges for uniformed women's participation in peacekeeping:
-       Royal Cambodian Armed Forces
-       Senegal Armed Forces

💡 Capacity Building:
-       The EIF Secretariat came together for a capacity-building workshop to strengthen our knowledge, share lessons, and enhance skills. This initiative enabled us to better support EIF applicants and advance opportunities for uniformed women peacekeepers.
-       The EIF Secretariat delivered 10 webinars specifically designed for T/PCCs and UN organisation applicants, helping them develop robust, evidence-based funding submissions.

🌎 Global Advocacy:
-       The EIF participated in over 25 events, from workshops to high-level panels, advancing discussions on gender-responsive peacekeeping.

Looking back on this year’s achievements, it is clear that the meaningful participation of uniformed women in peacekeeping is not just necessary—it is urgent.

With the unwavering support of our donors and the engagement of over 15 Troop- and Police-Contributing Countries, the EIF continues to drive progress in UN Peacekeeping Operations, we are building a future where uniformed women can advance and thrive in peacekeeping roles.
