About
Use of pesticides in agriculture reduced through integrated pest management and responsible use as well as 2.25 food safety standards.Pesticide regulation relates to both trade and public health; higher quality in will result in higher prices and access to markets domestic and export markets. It contributes to income generation both at the farmer and national level. Continuation of ongoing project with technical and support staff in place. Project Document and OPD have been cleared by FAD HQ and GoV and include budget, work plan, M&E, management and reporting information as per standard agreed procedures.Capacity building is major focus E.g. Outcome 1.1: Management training institutions at central and local levels are assigned to train managers and professionals for different sectors and Outcome 1.2: Cadre of facilitators strengthened qualitatively and quantitatively through Training for Trainers (ToT) and Refresher courses on Integrated JPM, Pesticide Risk Reduction, Safe vegetable/GAP From Section 4.2 of Pro Doc: The approach focuses on farmer education (for both men and women farmers of various ages including adolescents) and the development of management and decision-making, leadership, and critical farmers' skills.Safe, nutritious and culturally appropriate food is an essential component of The Right to Food as defined In 2008. Duty bearers: Govs; All. This project directly addresses the safe and nutritious component of the Right to Food in Viet Nam throughout. Restoring the agricultural skills support for Viet Nam's with less pesticide use. Traditional good practices and indigenous knowledge in agricultural production to be promoted.
