Output 1.20.4 Improved information to better understand migration and urbanization in Viet Nam and related national and sectoral policies strengthened and integrated;

Output 3.5 : Shelter development and urban upgrading strategies, policies, plans and regulations developed with broad partidpation of local community and sector initiative.

The project will support Vietnamese government to formulate a Vietnam  Shelter profile, based on which, a National pro poor housing strategy will be prepared to improve the propoor housing policy in Vietnam.

The projects deliverables including Vietnam Shelter Profile and National pro-poor housing strategy are directly linked to MDG 1: Hunger eradication and poverty reduction and MDG 7: Ensure environmental sustainability (Target 11). In addition, the project's deliverables are closely linked to priorities identified in the Comprehensive Poverty Reduction and Growth Strategy (CPRGS); Five year socioeconomic development plan 2006 -2010
