About
The IU contributes to integrating the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) into teacher education and training programmes.As a MIC country Vietnam will be required to significantly improve the quality of teaching and learning. The support MOET's efforts in improving the quality teaching contributing to strengthened national education system, critical addressed. for sustaining the MIC status and beyond. The IU is linked to the following national priorities and strategies: - Education management mechanism is incompatible with the socialist oriented market economy and the international treaty manpower needs of the country - There have been a number of mismatches in educational management - The development of an education system, which is of people, by people and for people, is the top national policy; the development of education and learning society is the cause of the Communist Party, State and the entire society - solutions 1-2: Renovation of educational management & Development of teaching staff and educational managers. 2. SEDP 2011-2015 - Radically improving and enhancing the quality of education, training and human resources; -Building Vietnamese education system towards standardization and modernization to help take it out of the backward condition compared with regional developed countries 3. EFA Action Plan - EFA goals, particularly goal 6, in improving quality of education through enhanced teaching and earning methodologies. 4. MDG 7: Through ESD, the activities address climate change which has been identified as a challenge area by the Government (Report on progress toward achieving MDGs, "Viet Nam continues to achieve the millennium development goals, part 4, p. 81-84) 5. Education articles of the following treaties: Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Article 26); Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (Articles 13 & 14); Convention on the Rights of the Child (Article 28 & 29); Convention on the Elimination of all form of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) (Part 3: Article 10) The IU will support the national priority of best practice model that has been piloted and can easily be achievement of national adapted specifically for the country.
