About
The project contributes to Outcome point 5 and more specifically to the following outputs: 5.1: Evidence-based national and local disaster risk reduction legislation, strategies and policies and plans developed, approved and integrated in socioeconomic and sectoral strategies 5.2: Institutional systems and processe strengthened toenhance coordinated and integrated ORR actions and adaptation to global climate change, at national and province level 5.3: National and local capacities strengthened to minimize adverse social, economic and environmental impacts of climate-related disasters. Major focus of AWP 's activities is to support to disaster risk management (DRM) legislation and development to address guidelines to implement the National Strategy for Disaster Prevention, Response and Mitigationto 2020 and ensuring consistency with Climate Change Action Plans. DRM policy development, early warning preparedness strategy . The projects contributes to MDG 7- Ensure environmental sustainability: Integrate the principles of sustainable national development into eountTY policies and programs and reverse the loss, of environmental resources. The other study of the impacts of climate international treaty change on related hazards and obligations, and highlighted consequent disaster risk management programming in Viet Nam will contribute to ensure that further 'Thematic development take into account the effects of climate change on hazards. Furtherrnore, this project directly addresses the Viet Nam development goal number 8 focused on reducing vulnerability linked to disasters by analyzing the linkages between poverty and vulnerability and making concrete recommendations on insurance options.
