About
CAF-11/H/36873/124 “Emergency nutrition for child survival in Central African Republic ” – USD 500,000 (Nov. 2011) Participating Organization: UNICEF
Programme Description The year 2009 saw resurgence in insecurity and displacement across the northern regions of the Central African Republic (CAR). Rising food and energy prices in combination with a weak health system have greatly affected the population, notably the nutritional status of children. The project aims to reduce deaths resulting from malnutrition among children aged under-five by improving case management, nutrition information management and building national capacity in most affected regions in the north and the southwest of the Central African Republic.
