About
The projectis time sensitive as the signing of the Revitalized Agreement to Resolution of the Conflict in South Sudan (R-ARCSS)in September 2018 increased the public confidence and expectations in the peace process and there is now an opportunity to seize the political momentum. A failure of demonstrating enhanced accountability through justice mechanisms during the implementation of the R-ARCSS would erode the confidence in the peace process. It is therefore an urgentpriority to capacitate and support local actors to reduce violence by building trust, addressing historical gender injustices and strengthening accountability measuresof the justice sector.
