The Human Rights Mainstreaming Multi-Donor Trust Fund (HRM Fund) supports UN Development System (UNDS) efforts to respond to the call by Member States for UNDS entities to assist countries in their efforts to respect and fulfill human rights obligations and commitments, including operationalizing the 2030 Agenda pledge to leave no one behind. Leveraging opportunities presented by the UNDS repositioning, the Fund enables the empowered, independent UN Resident Coordinators and new generation UN Country Teams to advance the values of the UN Charter and ensure that human rights are at the heart of implementing the 2030 Agenda through coherent, system-wide policies and coordinated inter-agency action at all levels.

The work of the Human Rights Mainstreaming Fund are possible thanks to the generous contributions by public and private sector partners
The work of the Human Rights Mainstreaming Fund is possible thanks to the efforts of . These resources are pooled and channelled to participating organizations to promote joint action and multi-stakeholder partnerships, making a difference on the ground.
The HRM Fund builds on the investments in the United Nations development system (UNDS), including the resident coordinator system and agencies, funds, and programmes of the UNSDG. Aligned with the UN Charter and the responsibilities and mandates of the UNDS, the vision of the Fund contributes towards the achievement of Member State expectations of the repositioned UNDS in supporting countries to implement the 2030 Agenda and their efforts to respect and fulfil their human rights obligations and commitments under international law, as a critical tool to operationalize the pledge to leave no one behind through implementation of human rights, as outlined in relevant resolutions of the General Assembly including the 2020 QCPR. Investments in the HRM Fund will contribute towards the achievement of the Secretary-General’s Call to Action for Human Rights and “Our Common Agenda” (launched in 2021).
Contributions to the multi-year appeal are Official Development Assistance (ODA)-eligible. Donors can therefore meet their voluntary targets when pledging funds to the HRM Fund. The channel code for reporting is 41401 (the Multi-Partner Trust Fund Office).
